Younghwasa Scholarship
For last 10 years, Abbot DongJin Sunim at Younghwa Zen Center has been focused on developing it as a temple for people. As a result, Daewoongjeon(Dharma Hall), Soyoyu(Kitchen and dinning facility), Haewooso(Restroom facility) sit surrounded by a well-maintained garden where people can practice Buddhism, find inner peace, and rest their mind.
The time has come to build strength outside of Younghwazenter. Abbot Dong-Jin is now focusing on supporting communities and the newly created Younghwasa Scholarship is one of those paths. Based on Abbot Dong-jin's experience, the temple can support students pursuing their educational goals and lighten their financial burdens with the Younghwasa scholarship program.
